DRAMA RP drama is inevitable. However, this doesn't mean disputes can't be handled civilly between players. If players are unable to end a dispute between themselves, they should contact the moderator at axiscity.rpg@googlemail.com. Individuals that start drama will only be given one warning before being dismissed from the game on the second offence. The same is true of those who are found to be participating in and/or encouraging drama. There will be no exceptions –OOC drama will not be tolerated here. OOC/MARY SUES/GODMODDING Players need to be sure they have a firm idea of their character's personality and the game's premise before applying. Likewise, players should make sure they're staying in character. Mary Sues/Gary Stus and godmodding are also not allowed. If any of the above is seen happening with a character, the player will receive two warnings before being removed from the game on the third offence. In this vein, we do not accept characters with extreme, uncontrollable or apocalyptic powers a la Jane Gray. SPELLING/GRAMMAR Both spelling and grammar are important, so looking over your post before hitting submit never hurts. If you use Firefox, there should be an downloadable spell checker avaliable on the firefox add-on site. With this, your browser will point out misspelled words as you type, à la Microsoft Word. This should successfully prevent a majority of spelling issues. CHARACTER LIMIT Players are currently only allowed 5 characters max (although this number is subject to change). Players seeking additional characters must allow two weeks between applying for a new characters, although an exception may be made for extremely active players. POWERS and SUPERHERO NAMES Although we are creating original characters we may sometimes inadvertently give Alias’s that are already present in comic books. This is unavoidable. However, obvious or well-known names will be rejected – i.e. you cannot name a character Superman. To prevent god-modding or over powerful characters heroes are limited to two superpowers. These should ideally be powers that work together. The ability to stop-time, hop through dimensions or destroy the world are not allowed simply because they make a character two powerful. It is permitted for a character to be able to create false perceptions but these should be discussed before hand before being brought into game. SHIPPING Slash, het, and femmeslash are all permitted. However, the game is tilted towards slash and femmeslash in this occasion. Also, bear in mind that character relationships need to be born of an agreement between both players, as well as believable. If players seem to have joined solely for shipping purposes (and are disregarding other parts of the game for it) or are forcing certain ships on other players they will receive a warning. PLOT Plots should be created with the pervasive storyline in mind and the RPG should not be used solely for any one purpose (shipping, for example). Major plots (death, rape, and pregnancy) should be run by the mods before being brought into game. JOURNALS Reason the characters have journals/how they work here. Entries posted in journals are viewable to everyone unless stated otherwise. THREADS Thread headings should be formatted as follows: Characters: [Who's involved this scene.] Setting: [Where and when (morning, evening, between what events of the day) the scene is occurring.] Content: [For simplicity's sake, you can just use 'No Adult Content'/Worksafe or 'Adult Content'/Not Work Safe. Adult Content is, of course, graphic sex or violence. State which (graphic sex or violence) applies to a post labelled with Adult Content.] Summary: [A short summary of the scene. Maybe what it's trying to achieve, what spawned it into being, and etc.] |
